About Cecilia
Cecilia is a Lake Garda photographer based in the Veneto, and she also works in Venice, Padua, Treviso, and Mogliano Veneto. I have a strong sense for light: I'm drawn both to the warm glow of a sunset by the water and to the quiet mood of a grey morning over the lake. My sessions take me to Sirmione, Malcesine, and the towns along the eastern shore. Years of working in Venice's ever-changing light have taught me how to read atmosphere, and that carries over well to the lake. I look for places where natural light creates strong contrast, like the shadowed arches of Sirmione's old town or the cypress-lined viewpoints at Punta San Vigilio. For visitors combining the lake with the Venetian cities, I can cover Venice, Padua, and Treviso too. In Venice I especially love the island of Certosa, the Giudecca, and the San Marco area, which I consider the finest spot for photographing the square. Padua's university quarter, with its very different architecture, is another favourite. I speak Italian and English.

Do I need to know how to pose?
No — your photographer directs you through movement, not stiff poses. Walking, laughing, turning: the camera catches the in-between moments.
What if it rains?
Light rain can photograph beautifully — and if the weather is truly bad, you can arrange a new time with your photographer.
